Simple Tricks – Big Impact

by Mark David

Whenever you see a crowd on the street gathering around a performing magician watching with awe some really awesome magic tricks, or queuing to buy tickets to go to a stage magic show or waiting with bated breathe in front of the television waiting for their favorite magician, illusionist to start with his show, you so wish you were that very lucky magician, don't you?

Magic tricks truly does have the most amazing effect on spectators, young and old, and they simply love to be entertained even with the most simple tricks yet have mind blowing results. As a magician, illusionist or mentalist, you don't need to start with complicated magic tricks to properly impress you audience, simple tricks when done with care and perfection coupled with great patter like you would any other trick, will still generate the applause that you want.

I mean when you think about it, great magicians of our time also started with these easy simple tricks and they went on to be the legend that they are not because they have learned and master complex, hard to perform magic tricks but because they were absolutely great when they did all those simple tricks and the crowd just love them so they later went on and progressed to more complicated ones, with their loyal fans not far behind them.

David Blaine started performing all those simple card tricks out on the street and he was really (he still is actually) good at it (probably practicing from the time he wakes up till he's about to sleep) so people began to notice him (a lot!) and just wanted more of him and his card tricks. Those card tricks of his are not totally rocket science, in fact most of them are quite simple and easy, but because he took the time to spin it into

something much more than just tricks, his fans love him and so now he is who he is. So, when starting to build your routine, don't scoff at those easy magic tricks because people like them and it's up to you to make it into a show they will never forget. You can maybe start practicing your sleight of hand tricks or you do some mind guessing techniques or you could start with both. These two never fails to capture the crowd's attention and master these and you gain the power to make a huge impact on people.
